Maximize your efficiency while learning the industry’s standard in safety training from ServSafe®. Our 1-day training
course features 8-hours of instructor led training including your exam. (A minimum test score of 75% is needed for food
safety certification with the National Restaurant Assoc. Education Foundation.)
A required course for most managers, our ServSafe® training course will provide you with the tools needed to identify
and prevent food borne illnesses. It will help to identify problem areas in the flow of food throughout your operation
and provide you with the tools to minimize risk factors. Everyone knows that cleanliness is important. In this class,
sanitation is presented in a practical, applicable manner, including pest control issues.
Course requirements: We will be using the ServSafe® 5th edition Coursebook (NOT Essentials), including the exam
answer sheet, MUST be purchased and studied in advance of the 8 hour review course including all practice questions at
the end of each chapter. The textbook may be purchased through the SCCC Bookstore. Alternate language textbooks are
available. Please make your request during registration. If you are sharing a book, you may also purchase an exam
separately for $41. Please be sure to include this on your registration form as a separate line item.
The test will begin promptly at 4:00 pm immediately following the instruction and review. Alternate language exam
must be order three (3) weeks in advance to allow for special exam order.

Two forms of ID (one photo) are requires in order to take the exam which must be presented at beginning of the class.
There will be a 30 minute break for lunch so please plan to bring your own lunch and beverages.
ServSafe® Re-Test
If you missed the 75 percent needed to pass the ServSafe® Certification exam, we are offering two re-test dates. The retest
includes the exam answer sheet but NOT the class. Please arrive at the classroom by 3:30 pm for the exam portion
of the class. If you need an alternate language exam, please specify on your registration form. Please register 3 weeks in
advance for alternate language exams.
