News and EventsNews 12 New Jersey Anchor to Visit to Celebrate Senior Day
Eventually, everyone gets older. Like it or not Father Time catches up with us at some point and makes it a little more challenging each year to live an active lifestyle. News 12 New Jersey anchor Della Crews is coming to Sussex County Community College on June 6th to talk about “Defying Age.” At the annual SCCC Senior Day, Ms. Crew’s presentation will be about leading an active lifestyle and staying one step ahead of the aging process. The presentation will begin at 9 a.m. in the College Theater and the public is invited to attend. Della Crews joined News 12 New Jersey in August of the year 2000. She is the solo anchor of the Afternoon Edition at noon and co-anchor of the Evening Edition at 5pm. She has a weekend talk show called “Defying Age” that showcases people from New Jersey who are age 50 and older who lead active lifestyles. Della Crews was born in South Carolina but has moved all around the states because of her father’s military background. Her family finally settled in Virginia. Della has worked in journalism and radio all around the east coast area making stops in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia before coming to New Jersey.
