Sussex County Community College is proud to announce the completion of several Capital Projects around campus. These projects have transformed the campus into a more vibrant and accessible environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Completed Capital Projects:

  • Athletic Flooring

The College is replacing the flooring in the Athletic Department in the Academic and Athletics (E) Building. This renovation project is part of a broader initiative to enhance the learning environment and provide students with modern, comfortable spaces that support their academic success.

  • Faculty Office Renovations

The renovation of our faculty office space aims to create a more welcoming and efficient environment for both faculty and students. The new design will include updated furnishings, improved lighting, and enhanced technology to support academic advisement. This initiative is part of the College's ongoing commitment to providing a personal and supportive educational experience.

  • Library & Sciences Building HVAC System

This HVAC System upgrade aims to enhance comfort, carbon abatement, and energy efficiency of the Library and Sciences Building on campus. This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to fostering an eco-friendly campus and supporting the well-being of its community. As part of this project, there will be ongoing assessments to ensure that the systems operate optimally, aligning with the institution's long-term goals of sustainability and innovation.

  • Music Room: Soundproofing

The College is enhancing our music room by implementing soundproofing measures. This improvement aims to create an optimal environment for students to practice and perform without distractions. The upgraded facility will feature state-of-the-art acoustic panels and sound-isolating doors, reflecting SCCC's commitment to supporting the arts and providing top-notch resources for our students.

  • Nurse Simulation Lab

The Nursing Simulation Lab has been designed to enhance the educational experience of nursing students, providing them with realistic, hands-on training in a controlled environment. The lab renovation is now complete and will add state-of-the-art training mannequins and advanced medical equipment during the month of July, allowing students to practice and refine their skills with scenarios that mimic real-life medical situations. This innovative approach aims to better prepare students for the challenges of modern healthcare, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide exceptional patient care upon graduation. The addition of the Nursing Simulation Lab underscores the College’s commitment to investing in the future of its students and the healthcare community.

  • PAC Atrium Renovations

The Performing Arts Center Atrium has been host to many events on campus. As the needs of the venue have evolved over the years, the facility is due for a reimagining. The goal is to create a versatile and welcoming environment that can accommodate a diverse range of events, exhibitions, and gatherings. Whether it's through the innovative design elements, enhanced acoustics, or state-of-the-art technology, the reimagined Atrium will serve as a vibrant hub of creativity and connection on campus.
