Job Description

Summary

Sussex County Community College is looking to build a pool of qualified applicants to teach future sections including Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 - online, remotely and in-person. However future semesters will require in-person day and evening sections as well as online.  The College is seeking Adjunct Instructors for the following Business courses: Introduction of Business, Principles of Marketing, Management & Organizational behavior, Business Communications, Small Business Management, Principles of Supervision,  Accounting Principles Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Note: We will have immediate openings for qualified instructors of Management and Marketing courses.  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or related degree in Business or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations; expertise in teaching, accounting, business, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, online/remote teaching, advanced certifications, or license, and a flexible schedule (morning, afternoon, evening and weekend courses may be available). Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills needed. 3+ years of applicable experience and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.

The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use for our online and remote teaching is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or similar learning platform is preferred. Although not a requirement strong technical and computer proficiency is recommended.

• IMMEDIATE OPENING – Spring semester commences on January 23^rd, 2023. On campus, in-person Instructors needed. Twice a week, morning/afternoons (Please note: Immediate opening is for Accounting 1 class on Monday and Wednesday from 10:50am to 12:05pm)

• Prior teaching experience and knowledge of online instruction strongly preferred.

• Availability to travel to campus when/if necessary.
