Job Description

The Custodian performs general cleaning activities and special project set ups. Wednesday thru Sunday.  

Essential Duties:

  1. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  2. Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.
  3. Primarily responsible for cleaning assigned buildings, assist in work orders and setups, collection and disposal of trash from receptacles. .
  4. Good physical health and ability to perform assigned tasks.
  5. Previous custodial experience preferred.
  6. Required Criminal Background check and proof of US citizenship.
  7. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  8. Possession of valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

 EDUCATION:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Ability to walk safely in a public setting utilizing manual tools, power tools and motor vehicles.
  • Basic knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, equipment and materials of custodial functions.
  • Strength and stamina to perform medium to heavy physical work: to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 40 pounds, in all cases with the use of proper equipment and/or assistance from other staff.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Preferred Skills:

  Previous custodial experience preferred.

Salary: $16.00 per hour.
