Annual 9/11 Ceremony at SCCC

9/11/2024 12:00:00 PM

Twenty-three years have passed since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. As a nation, we united in solidarity with our fellow Americans. Sussex County Community College hosted a ceremony marking the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, honoring those we lost and the heroes that were forged by this horrific event.

SCCC would like to thank everyone who participated in this event:

The core message of this event, shared by retired NYPD Detective Steve Mona, was to "..live every day like it's September 12th.." when we truly united as a nation and were willing to do whatever it took to help one another in the face of adversity.

The Newton Police Department, the Police Benevolent Association Local 138, and the VFW Post 5360 organized this year's event.
