Sussex Football sees first college victory

The Sussex Skylanders Football team sees their first victory this past Sunday with a 48-8 win over Capp Academy.  The Skylanders dominated from start to finish on this historic day. Next up, the football team will travel to Erie, PA on 4/24 looking to avenge an early season loss vs Hocking College and then finish their spring season the following week on May 1 at Lackawanna College, Scranton PA. Congratulations to Head football Coach Todd Poltersdorf, his staff and players for winning their game!

In addition, our Skylanders Baseball team and Head Coach Mehmedi swept a doubleheader on Sunday, April 18th over Orange CCC at Skylands Stadium. They also dominated Orange with a 14-6 and 17-5 victory. Next up for baseball will be Monroe College, Bronx, NY on Tuesday 4/20 at the stadium.

Our Lady Skylanders Softball team will also be in action on Tuesday vs Monroe College Bronx at home at 3:30 pm in a DH.

The Men’s Lacrosse team will have an important match up vs Delaware Tech CC on Thursday, 4/22 at the Proving Ground Complex in Conshohocken, PA. Each team has won one game against each other this season with this game determining who will represent Region 19 in the National Tournament in mid-May. Good Luck to Head Coach Steve Manitta and his squad.

Today, the Women’s Soccer team will take on Union College at home at 3:30 while men’s soccer travels to Union today for key Region 19 battle.
