Sussex County Community College’s (SCCC) Medical Assistant (MA) students received National Certification after passing their National Certification Exam. The CMA (AAMA) Certification Exam is a rigorous exam that requires a thorough, broad, and current understanding of health care delivery.

SCCC had ten students complete the Medical Assistant Certification Program held at the College. With a pass rate of 90%, compared to the national average of 64%, these MA students receive certification: Gina M Baccola, Analise Carrol, Nicole M. Cifelli, Stephanie Kwiatkowsky, Kassidy L. Little, Jennifer Lutkevich, Maggie L. Mohr, Abigail C. Quara, and Kimberly D. Silva.

For the Fall 2021 cohort, SCCC had ten students complete their practicum, and all ten students were hired locally. Some of those health providers included Atlantic Health Group, Skylands Medical Group, Premier Health Assoc., Family Foot and Ankle Care, and Lifeline Medical - All About Women, to name a few.

Sussex County Community College offers the Medical Assistant program each semester and gives students the necessary credentials to secure a job in the healthcare field.
