About Sussex

Nestled in the heart of Sussex County, New Jersey, Sussex County Community College is a gem amidst rolling hills, lush forests, and tranquil ponds.

SCCC is an accredited, comprehensive two-year community college that sits on 167 beautiful acres with three ponds and 12 academic buildings. A short distance from the main campus is the SCCC McGuire Technical Education Center located on Main Street in Newton, NJ. Additionally, a satellite location is located at Vernon High School in Vernon, NJ.

Sussex delivers over 38 programs designed to transfer to four-year institutions and 31 career and technical programs intended for students to enter the workforce directly to support the region’s economic prosperity. The College also offers 18 professional certificates to build on a student’s current or future credentials.
